Microcement

One seamless surface. No grout lines.

Microcement is applied in thin layers by hand, then sealed. It can cover floors, walls, showers and countertops, often over the existing surface after proper preparation.

Why microcement

A modern alternative to tile

  • Seamless and modern. No grout lines, a clean and continuous look.
  • Waterproof and resistant. Suited to high-moisture areas once sealed.
  • Durable. Scratch- and stain-resistant.
  • Low maintenance. Cleans with a simple wipe-down.
  • Cost-effective. Often more affordable than traditional tiling.

Traditional tile brings grout lines that are hard to clean and can collect mold and mildew, labor-heavy installation, and cracking over time.

Case study

A bathroom renovation

The original bathroom had aging tile that needed frequent upkeep. The homeowner wanted a seamless, water-resistant finish that would modernize the room without extra maintenance. The project took 7 days.

  1. Surface preparation

The existing tile was removed and the substrate prepared. A bonding agent was applied for a strong, moisture-resistant bond.

  2. Microcement application

Multiple layers were applied and smoothed by hand, with controlled texture for an even, uniform finish.

  3. Waterproof coating

The surface was sealed with a high-performance waterproof coating.

  4. Finishing touches

Modern fixtures were installed and the microcement was polished to bring out its natural sheen.

The same project rerouted plumbing for a floating vanity, repositioned the shower drain, adjusted the toilet location, replaced outdated copper with PEX, and added LED strip lighting, recessed ceiling lights and a dimmable system.
